Unlike virtually all modern music in Western culture, which is based on even-tempered musical scales, the music of Solfeggio Suite is based on more organic Solfeggio Frequencies, such as those used in traditional plainsong and Gregorian chants. The current Western Tuning system is mathematically convenient and well suited to instruments such as the piano which have one fixed tone for each note. However, this convenience comes at the expense of pure harmony: the equal temperament system used today is mechanical and dissonant, and it produces musical intervals that are impure ratios.
