The six note Solfeggio scale existed long before our modern eight note scale was invented. As a result, modern musical notes are not at the same frequencies as Solfeggio notes. For instance, the Solfeggio tone Mi vibrates at 528 Hz, while the closest note on the modern scale is C above middle C, which vibrates at 523.25 Hz. Such tiny differences can have big results.
